no one writes in their livejournals anymore...it's kinda like the dog your grandma's got that won't die no matter what...just keeps getting older and older and older.
things are going well. still have homework to finish which kinda sucks. whatever. another week and a half and we're off to vermont again. whoppeee. we might be opening the bru birthday bash with my chemical romance and say anything. that'd be pretty excellent, i must say. we'll see what happens. keeping my fingers crossed.
i should really get this homework done. i'm outtie for the night.

got home at 1:30 this morning.
5 1/2 hours on the road from burlington listening to the demos. the changes we made to the songs are amazing.
the ep is seriously going to blow peoples' minds.
no joke.
we might be posting some of the demos on myspace...haven't quite decided if we want to wait until everything's finished....the demos are just live room recordings...so the final product will sound nothing like them as far as quality is concerned.
only time will tell.

So we got the dates for pre-production finalized.
Oct. 28th and 29th.
We're still looking for a place to stay in Burlington. It's hard, especially not knowing many people from Vermont haha.
We're looking to start tracking in the first week of January. I'd like to get it pressed and everything by March....

quit my job this week.
matty bags is in the hospital for a while. going through chemo.
been hanging out with rene, carlos, kyle, and emma a lot lately. love those kids to death.
being in the hole in excess of $2,000 is pretty hurtin.

kinda pissed, but it's cool.

so here's the situtation.
the last few weeks have been hella busy between all the parties, promotions, work, and marijuana smoking.
i haven't slept more than 4 hours in almost 3 weeks.
my dad agreed to fund our recording and pressing of our first ep.
we're going to start it soon.
shows coming up are going to be fun.
especially sunday.
school starts soon.
hella excited actually...without school there's really nothing to do but drink.
went to the drive-in last night with emma, kyle, kyle, and curt. saw snakes on a plane.
let me tell you know, the movie quote of the century is surely going to be "i'm fed up with this mothafuckin snakes, on this mothafuckin plane"

wow talk about a complete 180°
tj showed up around 3. still shooked up but he's alright now. thank god.
got to the show at 4. checked in and whatnot and walked around for a while.
so we're scheduled to go on at 8. about 7:30 we head backstage to warm up. there might've been 250 people there at that point.
come back out at 8 and the place is fuckin packed. went on and gave it all we got.
during the first song we played i hit my guitar's headstock against the mic stand swinging it around and knocked it out of tune.
the rest of the set was absolutely dead on though. like, perfect.
stuck around till the end of the show, and found out we placed 2nd and get to move on to the next round.
but that's not the best part.
we went up to the guy from bodog afterwards and talked to him for a minute. he pulls berkley aside and tells her that we got the most votes of any band there, and the only reason we didn't get first was because of the tuning difficulty.
so yeah. he was pretty shocked seeing as how we only sold 25 tickets in advance...all in all i'd say there were 75-100 people there for us.
but just the fact that we won over the crowd like we did was phenomenal.
excellent night to say the least.

woke up hungover yesterday. puked my fuckin brains out.
made it to the train station literally 30 seconds before the train left
ben lost his laptop
tj disappeared for the night...still haven't seen him since 11:30 last night
my grandfather died
and i'm playing one of the most important shows in my life tonight.
that's why life sucks. |
